CURIOSITY:

 

The Cimiterio dos Prazeres was built in 1833,during the epidemic of "cholera morbus", and is not attributed to any Lisbon district.

 

We can find here the Reservoirs Writers I and II, two artists Plots, the Field of Public Security Police and the Field of Fire Brigade; guided visits are organized.

 

In this Cemitery is also located the oldest and largest concentration of cypress trees in the Iberian Peninsula and it is possible to observe monuments of anonymous authors, alongside pieces (from the nineteenth century to the present days) created by renowned architects and sculptors.
